DYING

FOR

LIFE

Dying for Life organises events that offer information, art, ideas and conversation about dying and death which may well have an impact on the way we choose to live our lives.

VIRTUAL EVENT

Tracing new death traditions

Have you noticed how technology is changing the ways people are handling bereavement and arranging funerals?

  • Have you attended a funeral webcast?

  • Have you shared funeral photos?

  • Do you post on the social media of a dead friend?

We want to hear from you!

The Cambridge Museum of Technology and Museum of Cambridge are looking to collect new and emerging ways of handling this major event, and how technology is helping to make the experience less difficult: From new technologies of webcasts and social media to share and remember friends to the relatively new emphasis on positive celebration and alternative resting places for human remains.

We want to hear about your experiences and how new ideas about handling death have changed your views on how to remember loved ones. Please use the contact form below to get in touch.

Do you have a story which can be shared with the public on how new technologies have changed how a funeral was conducted or a loved one is remembered? Please send us a paragraph or two with your story.

Thanks! Message sent.
