A Dance with Death - Cambsdance

Everything moves in cycles with beginnings, middles and endings. When we openly invite into the dance of our lives our own mortality new streams of vitality can be experienced (along with awareness of blockages). As part of Dying Matters Awareness Week there will be an opportunity to explore this theme at the drop in Cambsdance evening class on 12th May using the maps of the 5Rhythms dynamic movement practice. No previous dance experience is required only a willingness to move and breathe with open heartedness. The class runs from 7pm til 9pm and is held at St Philips Church Centre, 185 Mill Road, Cambridge CB1 3AN.

An Unhurried Conversation about Death

In an unhurried conversation, there is time to think differently and connect with people in a refreshing way. Unhurried isn't always slow, but it has a pace where people find it easy to join in and not feel crowded out. And listening can be as satisfying as talking.

We'll be using our usual format but on this occasion we're giving it a theme. Death is sometimes a taboo subject, but it plays an undeniable role in all our lives. This is a chance to talk about it, and what it means to us, in an atmosphere of good listening. This event will take place at Browns Brasserie on Trumpington Street, Thursday 11th May, 10.30am til 12.00. You can reserve a place on Meetup.

Death Cafe Cambridge

You are welcome to join us for tea and conversation about death in an open, respectful and confidential space. We meet simply as people who are going to die.

The aim of the Death Cafe movement is to increase awareness of death in order to help people make the most of their finite lives. Everyone is welcome.
Death Cafes are not for profit and have no agenda, objectives, advertising or themes.

Upstairs Library, CB2, Norfolk Street, Thursday 4th May, 6.45pm til 9pm. If you'd like to join us please reserve a place on Eventbrite.
